Resistance Radio is an underground radio which brings news about the events going on in KPA-occupied Philadelphia and the United States featured in Homefront: The Revolution. It was founded by Benjamin Walker.

Since the following arrest of Benjamin Walker, Resistance Radio has been broadcasting to motivate resistance fighters and civilians throughout the campaign to help resistance fighters defeat the KPA. Radios can be found scattered all over Philadelphia. They are used in Hearts and Minds to liberate KPA strongholds and to inspire civilians on the street. Following the events of Aftermath, Walker was rescued by Ethan Brady and Sidney Cook, and he returned to broadcasting against the KPA.

ham_radio_tuned It was 3 years ago today that the Phoenix cell were taken from us so tragically. They were infiltrated by a civilian posing as a new recruit, coerced by the Norks into sneaking explosives into the safe house.#p# When he triggered that bomb, good soldiers lost their lives - almost an entire resistance family, gone. Let's take a moment to remember Joseph Green, the sole survivor of that attack. He could have walked away, and who would blame him after such a devastating event. Instead, he dusted himself off and began recruiting new members. Within weeks, the cell was back on it's feet and to this day remains a bedrock of the resistance. Joseph Green, we salute you.
res_radio/random_02 It hurts me to see the citizens of this great city becoming collaborators, simply for a few nice things. Is your dignity, your community and your soul worth trading in for a hot bath and a view of mainstreet? Shame on you all. It hurts me to see the citizens of this great city becoming collaborators, simply for a few nice things. Is your dignity, your community and your soul worth trading in for a hot bath and a view of main street. Shame on you all.
res_radio/random_03 My good friend and legendary spoken word poet Studious Silas was arrested this morning and taken away by a spineless squadron of Norks. Those at the scene say he left with dignity, with pride. His spoken word poetry performed at hit-and-run public events inspired legions. I've met countless Resistance members whose minds were first ignited by his powerful words. Wherever you are my brother, I wish you luck, and by God I hope we see you again.
res_radio/random_04 People call us terrorists, and that hurts. It cuts deep. The Norks are insidious and their wasplike tannoys are pervasive and relentless. Their droning propaganda has saturated the minds of the people and settled, rotten and dark in their brains. I desperately want people to wake up, to see that we love them and want to help them. For now it's a thankless, joyless task, but one day, when we stop the Nork's infection spreading, the Resistance will be the heroes of a new America, and then people will thank us. And for that, I'm willing to wait.
res_radio/random_05 There's an irony to our situation in the Red Zone. We're living out a mirror of the Vietnam war, a big top-down mirror's reflection of it, where the Viet Cong's jungle and system of tunnels have become our desolate streets and underground passages. We crawl through the darkness, run through the shadows, ghosts haunting our own city. And the Norks fear us, as well they should. We're fast, we're determined, we're formidable.
res_radio/random_06 There's a soldier prowling the skylines of our wounded city. She's a legend amongst her ranks, an icon of strength and determination. The Norks don't know her by name, but by God do they know her work. She's taken out more patrols than anyone can count. She's a product of this dark time, and like a superhero, she's risen to the status of a symbol. The Norks tremble when they think of her, as well they should. She's coming for them.
res_radio/random_07 Resistance doesn't simply mean gunning down a Nork patrol. It's about drawing a line in the sand. Saying no more. And it starts with little things. When you pass a Nork soldier patrolling your neighborhood, hold your head up. Don't let your body language fall in on itself like a wounded puppy, stand tall, meet their eyes. They'll shout at you, and worst case scenario, they may rough you up a little, but imagine what you gain from it. You won't be their bitch anymore, and damn if that doesn't feel good.
res_radio/random_08 They tell us our children are in education camps, training with the very best teachers, learning skills for a brighter tomorrow. I so, SO want that to be true. But does it fit with everything we know about the Norks? About the way they treat us? I think best case scenario, they're turning our beautiful children into drones, brainwashing them, teaching them to do their bidding without question. Worse case scenario, God only knows.
res_radio/random_09 A friend of mine recently returned from a three month work detail out at New Hope Agricultural Center, those beautiful old farmlands. They learnt to grow food, to work the land. They said it was not only cathartic, but made them think. We need to put these kind of systems into place ourselves. If we can start setting up secret farms, the Resistance can feed itself instead of stealing or relying on handouts. And after that - who knows what we can achieve - our own secret factories? It's exciting, I know that.
res_radio/random_10 Do you remember how we obsessed over our technology? We cooed and fawned over each new iteration, salivating over new features and tweaked designs. It seems so distant now, and so vulgar. I was no better than anybody else, but now it seems worlds away. I hate that this simple life was forced on us, but I love that we've learned to talk to eachother again, without the glow of a screen always in our eyes.
res_radio/random_11 Nothing makes my blood boil more than seeing the Norks bullying or even physically assaulting innocent civilians. And still, after all this time, most people avert their eyes and walk a little faster. Thank God for the Resistance. For every old lady the Norks pistolwhip, for every innocent passerby they pick on and brutalize - we exact our revenge. And our retaliation is fast, brutal and merciless. They'll bleed, they'll burn.
res_radio/random_12 To all you Resistance fighters out there speeding through tunnels, building your traps, tuning your weapons - just keep doing what you're doing. You're living legends. To all you resistance fighters out there speeding through tunnels, building your traps, tuning your weapons. Just keep doing what you're doing. You're living legends.
res_radio/random_13 You need to watch yourself out there people. The Norks aren't the only threat. A girlfriend of mine recently got attacked by some whacko. He grabbed her, tried to pull her into a building, shouting all kinds of crazy stuff. Luckily, she's a grade-A badass, and managed to fight him off. It's not the first time something like this has happened, and it won't be the last - take care of yourself.
res_radio/random_14 One of the many things that makes me hate the Norks so much is their attitude towards our sick and wounded. At best, they're indifferent - and at worst, they're leering and sadistic. We're forced to do what we can with the most basic of tools and medicines. The efforts of our doctors and medics are nothing short of heroic, but there's only so much they can do. And meanwhile we watch the KPA med supply trucks roll by, while our people suffer.
res_radio/random_15 You know something that makes me happy? Real happy? The Restricted Zone, our own Prison city. The Norks with their usual sadistic glee threw all the cities great thinkers, activists and artists in with the criminals. I guess they thought they'd be dealt with, ripped to pieces by the most dangerous people Philly has to offer. But that's not what happened - the activists and thinkers were WAY stronger than they'd predicted and now we have a bewildering hybrid of educated criminals and fight ready thinkers.#p# If we can help them escape, they'll be a formidable, (if slightly terrifying!) weapon for the resistance.
res_radio/random_16 I grew up in San Francisco. I never got to see it before things went bad. When the KPA first started arriving, it was so exciting. They were here to help us - we were sure, we were so sure. With their record of wonderful humanitarian work around the world, their amazing technology - we watched those beautiful aircraft gliding into the airport, and they seemed like angels. My Grandm- she cried when she saw them for the first time. "Child, these people are angels" she said, "the Lord's sent them to help us start over". I remember looking up, seeing the tears on her cheeks, holding her gentle hand. It breaks my heart that we were so wrong.
res_radio/random_17 Mayor Simpson, Good God, that man makes me angry. The KPA have always been deliberately faceless - a shadowy puppet-master pulling the strings, and that man is the puppet. An absurd, leering marionette, parading in front of us any time they have a message for the people. His days are numbered, and he'll pay for his betrayal.
res_radio/random_18 The Norks share a voice when they talk to civilians, that familiar robot-tinged, aggressive drone coming from their masks, automatically translated in realtime. It's no coincidence that they decided to share the same voice for every soldier - it serves to dehumanize them, and make them seem like a hive mind, thousands of identical soldiers that must be obeyed. It's clever, I'll give them that.
res_radio/random_19 There are brave souls out there, slipping through the night, avoiding the cyclop's gaze of the cameras, and spraying their art on the walls of this city. And it's beautiful. I urge you all to follow in these people's footsteps - pick up some paint, a pen or a spray can and express yourself. Cover this city in messages of hope and defiance. It's the first step on a path to revolution.
res_radio/random_20 I have a friend in Earlston who recently decided to sign up to the "Liaison program", my lifelong friend, becoming a collaborator. It's so disappointing. She's bought into the lies and thinks that joining the program will guarantee her early access to see her kids when they graduate from the education camps. Lies, all of it, but she needs to believe it. So, as much as I'd love to forgive her, I have to take a stand. While she wears the collaborator uniform, I'll never even look at her. Such a shame.
res_radio/random_21 The Battle of Philly - those words hurt to say. But we mustn't ever forget. We fought the KPA, we fought tooth and nail in the streets of Philadelphia, and there wasn't a single person who thought we'd lose that war. We were so proud to be a part of the Second War of Independence, minute men of a new era. And then it all came crashing down. Loss after loss, defeat after defeat. They decimated us, and we passed the point of no return. Too few survivors, no more will to fight. Our numbers, our morale, destroyed. The Battle of Philly. Never forget.
res_radio/random_22 We've all seen terrible, terrible things. I'm sure every person listening has seen things they'll never be able to forget.#p# I have a memory I'll never be able to shake. The day I first killed a man. I was younger, a fresh recruit of the resistance. I was on my first mission, a simple smash and grab on a medical depot to resupply our meds. I ran through a warehouse and crashed straight into a nork soldier, knocked both of us off our feet. We looked at each other in complete bewilderment for a second, then I even thought about what I was doing, I took my knife and pushed it into his neck.#p# He screamed like an animal, I'll never forget the sound. We'll all kill as many KPA soldiers as it takes, but every death haunts you, as well as it should.
res_radio/random_23 Broken concrete, skeletal metal frames, wires hanging like hangman's nooses, the rattle of falling debris, and the smell of burnt earth. The Red Zone is a tragic monument to defeat and decay, but it still has its own beauty. And what some see as the scorched remnants of a lost city, we - the Resistance - see as our playground. Those dead streets are where we plant the seeds of our revolution.
res_radio/random_24 People say the resistance are reckless and their actions get people killed. The KPA have fed these lies to the people, nurtured these misconceptions. They report on Resistance activities going wrong and ending up in civilian deaths, explosions in the streets, chaos. Wake up people, can you really be so naive? Lies, always lies. It's true that the resistance rely on speed and aggression hit and run attacks on the enemy, but the execution of these attacks is clean and considered. No resistance member would ever knowingly risk civilian lives.
res_radio/random_25 I'd like to take a moment to mention Doctor Sam Burnett. In a world that's become consumed with violence, he's a man of peace, fighting to save lives, desperate to end the bloodshed. The Resistance may not always see eye-to-eye with him, but there's not a single person in Philadelphia with a bad word to say about him. His work in this city has been heroic. And he'll never be forgotten.
res_radio/random_26 I want to tell you about Detroit Alpha, or as they like to call themselves, the Bricktown Mafia. Possibly the baddest motherfuckers of the Resistance, nationwide. The KPA are simply terrified of them, and good God they should be. Last summer, the Bricktown Mafia decided to send a message. They took a ten-man team to the city's biggest KPA police station. They blocked every exit, and ramraided the lobby in an armored van. And that was just the beginning. Seven of them got out of the van, in head-to-toe welded metal armor suits and heavy machine guns, and in less than ten minutes killed every Nork in the entire station. And they best part? They got away! They dropped the armor and guns, and ran through the streets and rooftops, and disappeared into the darkness. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you make a statement.
res_radio/random_27 Let's give a little shout out to Manhattan Alpha. Those kids are smart. Their planning is always meticulous, yet inventive. And their last big assault on the KPA was a perfect example of why they're so damn cool. They got wind of an officers' party for high-ranking KPA at an old yacht club in Dayton. They'd reconditioned the boats and were using them to entertain the officers. Well, on the night of the party, visiting KPA generals poured onto the boats and began sipping their drinks. Security was insanely tight - it'd be impossible to reach any high-ranking targets. And... they didn't need to. Manhattan Alpha had infiltrated the yacht clean-up detail and planted explosives on every boat. The night of the party, they sat on the roof nearby and dialed a number, and sat back to watch the fireworks.
res_radio/random_28 We have a concern. New Orleans Alpha and Pittsburgh Alpha cells have been silent, for several weeks. We're sending scouts down to investigate and God, I hope they're okay. Let's hope it's something as simple as comms system problems, but something feels wrong. Something feels very wrong,
res_radio/random_29 If you have friends or family who sign up to the Liaison program, I urge you to be strong and turn your back on them. It's far from easy and it feels ugly, but you need to make a statement. People need to see the consequences of signing away your morals, your soul, for a few nice things. Be strong.
res_radio/random_30 If you're starting to feel like you want to show solidarity with the Resistance, you can start with what you wear. The Resistance uses the color blue as a symbol for freedom - blue scarves, blue spray paint, blue flares fired into the sky. It's hard to miss. So why not join them? Wear blue whenever you can, paint the walls of your house blue, if you're feeling brave then head out into the streets and spray the walls blue. It's a strong message, and one the KPA can't ignore
res_radio/random_31 Apex. Fucking Apex. Even before the world went crazy, I was already starting to hate them. Apex phones, Apex AR glasses, Apex biobands. Everything we saw and heard was filtered through the Apex-branded tech. And they knew everything about us from the information we happily volunteered. They knew our likes and dislikes, our heartrates, our sleep patterns. It seems insane now to think we could be so naive and trusting with every aspect of our private lives.
res_radio/random_32 I find it just bewildering that people are happy to live under constant surveillance - cameras tracing every move, Seekers scanning them all day long, and bullying, heavy-handed spot checks from the Norks. What kind of life is that? It makes me so damn angry that people just put up with so much bullshit.
res_radio/random_33 Our situation is so ugly. The KPA are simply asset-stripping our country. Taking every conceivable commodity to reclaim on our debt to them. They hate being here as much as we hate watching them suck our country dry. What really scares me is what happens when there's nothing left to take.
res_radio/random_34 Have you heard of the Geneva Protocol? It was a treaty drawn up way back around 1925-1930, prohibiting the use of gases in warfare. Yet I've lost countless friends to gas dropped by the KPA Dusters in combat. I guess the rest of the world doesn't know or doesn't care that the KPA are brazenly breaching human rights laws that have stood for 100 years.
res_radio/random_35 The KPA's weapons tell you everything you need to know about them. They're slick, streamlined, technical and deadly - a perfect summary of the entire KPA personality. And look at the Resistance weapons - they're homebrewed, volatile, held together with a wind and prayer - but in the right hands they're powerful, punchy, and just as deadly. We may be the underdogs but we've got spirit.
res_radio/random_36 You honestly think they need to run those PA systems 24/7 like that? Of course not, most of the messages are junk. Patronizing, trivial content. The key to the PA systems isn't the content, it's the quantity. They're designed to wear people down, make them tired, docile. Police and governments in the 20th and early 21st century used to use the same technique, setting siege to criminals and blasting music at them relentlessly to break their will. It's psychological torture - just remember that.
res_radio/random_37 It makes me so happy to see people playing music in the streets. Those half-broken guitars, home-made drums, musical bottles - it's all so inventive and just, beautiful. This city has a rich, versatile history of music, from folk to Jazz to the life-affirming warmth of Philly Soul. The KPA have taken a lot from us, but there's no way they'll ever take our music.
res_radio/random_38 Our streets are awash with drink and drugs. I can't believe people can be so selfish and stupid. As if we don't have things bad enough, it's insane that people are willfully poisoning themselves for a quick high. Killing their braincells for a chance to forget for a few seconds. Stay clean people. We need you sharp and full of anger when the revolution comes.
res_radio/random_39 Some terrible news from Memphis today. Sarah Theodorou - much loved leader of the Memphis Alpha Resistance cell - was captured, tortured and executed yesterday. The KPA tricked her into showing herself in one of their Yellow Zones, and had a squadron of heavies waiting to ambush her. Our sources say she died with dignity and gave them nothing. We'll miss you Sarah.
res_radio/random_40 Dark news from our team in Chicago. Resistance fighter Joe "Grizzly Bear" Olson - a very popular, larger than life character in the Chicago cell - turned out to be a rat. He'd been informing on his friends in return for prescription drugs from the KPA to feed his addiction. It was hard to do, but the same message always needs to be sent when an informant is found. They cut his throat and dumped him on the doorstep of a KPA outpost, with a sign around his neck saying "rat". They told us it broke their heart to do it, but it had to be done.

res_radio/plot_41 By now you'll have all seen the images and heard the announcements across the city. Benjamin "Voice of Freedom" Walker is in town. The very man who got folks organized in Manhattan, who rallied the good ol' boys and girls down in Georgia, and who the KPA have had at the top of their most-wanted list since this war began. His strategic insight and rabble-rousing words have done more damage to the Nork regime than anything else to date. I, for one, am thankful he's here. His presence alone could be what turns the tide in the battle for Philly.
res_radio/plot_42 Listeners, it's, uh, It's with a heavy heart that I inform you, of the capture of Benjamin Walker, Eye witnesses say he was caught in a rowhouse, that he looked seriously injured - but that despite this, refused to go without a fight!#p# It took a whole team of Norks to forcibly drag him away, but he remained defiant right up until they knocked him out cold! Cowardly bastards, That's the true spirit of resistance on display right there!
res_radio/plot_43 Shout out to a rising star in the resistance - Ethan Brady, the ass you're kicking out there is not going unnoticed by the people. Keep on fighting the good fight, and may your example inspire others to do likewise.
res_radio/plot_44 Things got real intense over in Earlston today. A group of our fighters, led by Ned and Brady, made a daring assault on the police station in that district. The move was in retaliation to the capture of several Resistance fighters, all of whom were liberated. Let this be a lesson to the Norks. We'll move heaven and earth to get our fighters back. Walker included.
res_radio/plot_45 So the Norks announced Walker's trial today, Trial?! That implies justice! A notion I don't think these bastards even have a word for! This entire thing's a joke! But the joke's on them. 'Cause we in the Resistance, we're not gonna stand for this bullshit!
res_radio/plot_46 Never let it be said that Ethan Brady wasn't a man of action. His continued efforts and work toward the goals of liberty and freedom is something you can't help but stop and take note of. Norks better watch out.
res_radio/plot_47 I'm guessing you all heard the rumblings down at the shipyard? That was our very own Parrish and Brady, taking the fight to the Norks. They went in alone, and successfully "appropriated" a Goliath for use in our cause. That oughta help us do some serious damage.
res_radio/plot_48 What can I say? What is there to say? Walker, Heather, Argh, God damn, God damn these sons of bitches! This is, No - no, we - we can't lose hope, not now - not when we need it most. Hope is about being able to - to see the light despite all the darkness, Yeah, we got beat down, but we're not dead! Yeah, we lost that fight, but the war rages on! No, we're not done, not by a long shot.
res_radio/plot_49 The Norks are fucking everywhere! Hitting our stashes and safe houses! Executing any and all they even suspect of being affiliated with the Resistance! To all my Resistance brothers and sisters out there - be vigilant! They're not taking any prisoners!
res_radio/plot_50 Parrish's words struck a helluva chord with people! And he's right - people do need to take responsibility, and we need to set the example! It's do-or-die time out there. The people are fired up, the Norks are on the back foot, and we need to capitalize on all that! This is it people! The revolution!
res_radio/plot_51 Mask up! Get the people indoors! Those sick bastards are dropping gas on the entire city! They - Shit - don't stop fighting! Don't ever - Keep -
res_radio/plot_52 Mask up! Get the people indoors! Those sick bastards are dropping gas on the entire city! They're planning a fucking genocide! We can't let this happen! This can't be how it ends! I'm heading out there right now to do whatever I can!
res_radio/plot_53 And now a special message to our brother Ethan Brady. Ethan, if you're listening, the Norks have labelled you Walker's accomplice. They're searching every Yellow Zone and they know what you look like, so take care out there.
