Heather Cortez was an engineer for The Resistance in Homefront: The Revolution. Considered the brains of the Resistance, she was always on the look-out for useful tech.
History[]
Not much is known of Heather's life prior to the KPA occupation. She had her sights on joining the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, indicating that she was talented in the field of robotics.[1]
Homefront: The Revolution[]
Heather works in the Ashgate Yellow Zone after joining the Resistance. She is first encountered when Ethan Brady made his way to the Ashgate safehouse in order to deliver a Goliath brain captured during the assault on Ned Sharpe's Armoury. Not willing to jeopardize the Goliath brain due to its complicated nature, Heather instructed Brady to find some Seeker brains so that she can perform some tests on them before actually testing the Goliath brain.
After Brady and Jack Parrish stole a Goliath, Heather immediately began working on it in order to be use to rescue Benjamin Walker from Independence Hall. However, the Goliath was later sabotaged by a traitor and stalling the Resistance's rescue attempt. The Resistance forgo using the Goliath and instead followed on a new plan proposed by James Crawford. Heather continued her repairs on the Goliath.
When the Resistance assaulted Independence Hall they had only fallen into a KPA trap orchestrated by Crawford, who was revealed to be the traitor. Fortunately, Heather had finally repaired the Goliath and used it to rescue the Resistance just as they were on the verge of being overwhelmed by the KPA. Controlling the reprogrammed Goliath, Heather provided enough firepower to enable them to escape Independence Hall. While escaping, the Goliath was damaged and Heather tried to repair it. This became a costly mistake as the Goliath exploded and sent a metal shrapnel into Heather's chest. Brady and Parrish managed to carry Heather on board a pickup truck and escape, but Heather quickly succumbed to her wound.
