Captain Shaw was the commander of a NATO Special Operation Team in the Beyond The Walls DLC.

Fearing that the KPA would try to invade Europe, and after the Philadelphia Uprising, NATO launched Operation Eagle Shield. Its objective was to repair and launch a nuclear missile from KPA-occupied America to destroy APEX Satellite Network and, whether it succeeds or not, launch a massive invasion force to liberate the United States. To do so, NATO assembled a team lead by Captain Shaw to escort the nuclear engineer Lisa Burnel to a nuclear silo in Becton Lake, near Philadelphia.
The team was deployed via submarine, but on their way to Becton Lake, they where ambushed by the KPA. Captain Shaw and his men engaged the KPA to allow Burnel to escape, but he was killed in the end. However, his sacrifice was not in vain, as Burnel managed to contact the Resistance, repair and launch the missile, ensuring NATO victory.
